That might be something you type into Google to look for a photographer on the Sunshine Coast. But maybe that’s relative to what you’re after. If you’re looking for the best photographer on the Sunshine Coast who does newborn posing, that wouldn’t be me. If you’re looking for a silent photographer who doesn’t say much during the session that’s not me either. But if you’re looking for a photographer who is your hype girl, someone who will tell you how to stand to look amazing and then leave it to you to interact with your family and get those beautiful connection shots then I’m your girl.
The best photographer on the Sunshine Coast will be the one that makes you feel comfortable from day one, that way your photos will bring out the best in you.
I have been in the photography industry since 2004, with over 20 years of experience of capturing families, weddings, and all things photography…. that’s a lot of experience.
What does that experience actually mean, it means that you will have all the information you need before your shoot to be prepared, it means a lot of the questions that you might’ve had will have already been answered in a Portrait guide I have made you, it means I don’t expect a lot from kids, I know that they will last about 15 to 20 minutes and then it’s all about the play. I expect them to to be distracted and to do what they wanna do and that’s okay. I don’t expect anything else, I have learnt how to bring them back to the shoot and to be honest a lot of it includes them running, chats and finding things like shells, rocks etc.
honestly, I just want the shoot to be a great memory and if you ask the kids from some of my past shoots… they give the best reviews. One mum text me the next day and the little boy was asking when he got to see me again, and can I come over and take more photos. That’s all the review I really need, when the little people in your family want me around.
I want your family photos to be fun, so that when you look back on them in the future you don’t look at them as just nice photos, you remember the day we had. Yeah it will be chaotic but life is chaotic and it’s all about finding the pockets of love and joy in between the crazy.
Most families choose to get their family photos taken about an hour before sunset to enjoy those pastel skies, I also offer morning sessions for those of you who want a day at the beach kind of session and, if you want the home look and feel but don’t want to clean your house….you can come to my home studio and we can shoot there.
Most sessions go for about an hour, so even if you have booked a half an hour session, don’t plan anything for the next half an hour.
I don’t limit the amount of people that can be there, but I suggest that if you have a large group, you book the hour session and not the half an hour session.
You will get your proofs within a week or two of the session and from that you choose your selected photos and they will be available to download on an online gallery within a week of choosing.
