SUNSHINE COAST FLORIST – Magnolia Grove Flowers

February 3, 2020

I want you to meet one of my all-time favorite florist’s suppliers – Lauren. If you ever get the pleasure of meeting her, you will understand instantly why she’s so amazing. She is kind, funny, creative and if you have a vision she will try her hardest to bring it to life.

What’s your name and the business you run? And tell us a bit more about your part in it.

My name is Lauren and my business name is Magnolia Grove Flowers and we love weddings.

I love my florist shop and I love what I do.  I have the best team of girls who also love working with flowers and are so creative that we all bounce our ideas off each other.

How long have you been in business? 12 years

Do you have a story about how it all started?

Growing up in South Africa I always had a love of nature and flowers.  My grandmother is an award winning artist (painter) in South Africa and she loves painting flowers and wild life, this is where I got my creative flair and love for all flowers.  Moving to Australia and starting my own family I worked on our family flower farm which turned into a wholesale business and eventually I purchased the business from my parents and opened my own florist.  We have been in our current shop for 12 years, growing each year and creating the most beautiful floral pieces.

What is your perfect day on the Sunshine Coast? Spending the day on the beach with my family and friends

Best place to eat on the Sunshine Coast? Pier 33

Favorite Treat? Mango

Dream holiday destination?

Best wedding day advice for couples?

Don’t stress the small things

Get a good photographer and videographer as this is what you have to keep at the end of the day (my only regret that I didn’t do this for myself)

Do you have a client review you could share?

“Wow wow wow! Thank you for doing such beautiful and breathtaking arrangements for all my wedding flowers! I chose Irises as the featured flower in my bouquets and pins because my mother’s name and my middle name is Iris. Not knowing that they were such a difficult flower for a florist to work with on account of how fast they go from bud to full bloom. Lauren, when I opened my carefully packed flowers on my wedding day and seeing all my wonderful flowers looking back in all their glory. I had such joy, happiness and confidence for my special day to come.
Love, love, loved your work! Forever grateful” ALISON
