I’m so excited that you’re reading this blog as these sessions are definitely some of my all-time favourites.
The idea behind the day at the beach photo sessions is to capture what it feels like to be on holidays or to spend time on one of our beautiful Sunshine Coast beaches. So get rid of the idea of dressing up fancy for photos and think more along the lines of swimmers, beachwear, cute chairs, umbrellas, buckets and spade sort of day, even bring your boogie boards for some photos of the kids playing in the water.
OUTFITS: Okay so outfits with your swimmers, you want everybody’s colours to be complimentary, even be all out there with matchy matchy! . Definitely stay away from neon colours as they don’t photograph well in the bright sunshine.
Consider having a sarong or a white throw over linen shirt and then for the boys a button up linen shirt ( causal vibe) or a plain white T-shirt with their board shorts to start off with.
Then you can finish off the look with cute hats and sunglasses and even towels to match if you really would like.
They are usually photographed in the morning, as that’s when the beach looks beautiful and bright, think blue water blue skies.
